Keeping Confidential Information Confidential is our Business: ISO27001 Re-Certification Success - September 2011
Agenda operates ethical, fair and transparent services and has key externally audited certifications to prove it. Our staff have all been comprehensively security screened, are well trained and operate processes that exceed the requirements of the Data Protection Act, the Bribery Act and all other relevant regulations and legislation. Agenda also recognises though that anybody could say that, which is why we focus our attention on having high quality, externally audited processes that prove compliance.
We are delighted therefore to report that our latest one day ISO27001 Information Security Management Standard audit recognises Agenda's long-standing commitment to the continual development and improvement of our information security processes. The auditor commented "All controls are listed as at least meeting requirements or exceeding them."
The auditor reviewed our ISO27001 policies, security forum minutes and actions, our competency based staff training programme and our business continuity processes. With regards to training the auditor commented "The training and awareness provides a good overview of threats and vulnerabilities along with controls."
Richard Connelly, Agenda's ISO27001 lead manager said "The auditor was particularly impressed with how we had incorporated the requirements of the ISO25999 Business Continuity Standard into our audited framework. In particular, he was impressed with our up-to-date and reviewed policies, the desk top exercises undertaken (which involved the police and company managers and directors), the business continuity training for all staff and our commitment to secure off site back up processes."
Agenda takes these accreditations very seriously, our Secured by Design, Investors in People, ISO9001 Quality Management and ISO27001 certifications underpin all of our services and interactions.
Norman Mortell, the Director of Operations was delighted by the outcome of the audit and said "These are not simply plaques on the wall but are embedded processes that align to our business culture and Values and clearly demonstrate to the outside world our commitment to information security, quality, staff development and ethical business practices."
