Throughout 2017 Agenda is celebrating it’s 20th year in business!
It’s hard to believe what the company has achieved when you look at where the company started, growing small beginnings at owners Paul and Heather Sanders house, to where we are today, employing over 160 members of staff.
Graham Stuart MP opened the extended Agenda offices earlier this year and Paul, the Managing Director of Agenda spoke about how proud he is and how far the company has come in the last 20 years, he said “It is hard to believe that we are nearly 20 years old. We have always focused on our people to deliver excellent services and provided them with the development and environment to do the best possible job they can. Our values of Respect, Reputation and Responsibility underpin everything we do, and as we have grown we have invested in new recruitment and screening software systems. We have had many success stories over the years, and in particular some of our managers that started with us at a lower level who have thrived and excelled within Agenda.”
Over the last 20 years we have achieved many great accreditations, which just add to the wealth of knowledge that is behind the business. As well as having three ISO standards, ISO27001 (Information Security), ISO9001 (Quality) and ISO14001 (Environmental/Green), we have also been accredited with the Cyber Essentials certification for the second consecutive year.
As a company we pride ourselves in our commitment to be a ‘great place to work’ for all staff, this was enforced ever more earlier this year when we achieved our IIP accreditation. Agenda provide training bank accounts for all staff, as well hosting a number of social events throughout the year and also putting on Lunch and Learns where we invite staff to get together and learn about a subject on their lunch hours.
Norman Mortell, Director of Operations, said “I joined 15 years ago and there were 7 of us, based in a converted grain store at Paul’s house. We always move forward and it is great to have an event like this to reflect on how far we have come. Even in this day and age there is nothing wrong with being a family business, it is these ideals of being friendly and professional, providing personal and bespoke services and engaging in our local community that are at the core of our success.” He went on to say, “We have also invested in our websites, externally audited certifications, social media presence and in high quality, efficient back office systems that enable us to compete effectively and to deliver responsive and personal services.”
Agenda has an annual charity of the year and staff fundraise through events such as dress down days, bake days and even staff sports and “helicopter dunk” events. In 2017 Agenda’s charity will be the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Look how far we've come!
