The latest Investor in People Audit took place in December 2016 and Agenda was highly commended for continued progress and commitment to developing the company and its people.
The auditor commented “I am totally satisfied that the organisation continues to meet the requirements of the Investors in People standard”. In particular, he commended our continued progress in embedding our core values of Respect, Reputation and Responsibility and a strategic long-term commitment to people development in line with company’s 2020 strategy. He highlighted successful initiatives such as the Managers’ Challenge leading to the birth of ‘Lunch and Learn’ and our Agenda Values Points system.
Norman Mortell, director of operations said “We are delighted with this recognition, we have always invested in our people and we provide annual training bank accounts to all staff for personal development. Since the last successful IIP audit in 2015 we have not rested on our laurels. We have invested in new recognition and reward systems, a leadership development programme and conducted management 360 degree reviews and Great Place to Work/Agenda Values staff surveys. We see Investors in People as an important externally audited validation of our commitment to the continual professional development of our people.”
Stuart Lamming, who leads IIP for Agenda said “It is great to see this recognition. We engage in a lot of training and development at Agenda and can see the real business impact this has in terms of our people and their careers. Helping to make Agenda a Great Place to Work for our people is something I am very proud of. We know there is still work to do and we are conscious of the fact that the new 6th Generation Investors in People Standard is now live. We’ll spend the next 18 months working hard to ensure we meet the new standard”.
