Doing something funny for Money - RND 2011 - March 2011

As shared on our website earlier in the month the Marketing team at Agenda were heavily involved in the company's plans for Red Nose Day this year. Kate the Marketing Executive took the lead for the project which meant that there were plenty of fun activities planned for all who wanted to be involved.

It doesn't feel like it is two years ago since we were organising the last Red Nose Day for the company but it was. Time has really flown by.

As most of the team were closing following the activities of the Radio One breakfast DJ's and their World Record attempt to conduct the longest single radio broadcast on record, they were determined to raise as much money as possible. As well as making into the Guinness World Records the raised an amazing £2.4million. Our team didn't quite raise that much but were pleased with our efforts of £300 which was our best total yet for RND.

Activities at Head Office included a dress down day where all you needed to do is wear something red, but the choice was yours, one Director sported a red shirt and tie with red shorts and trainers which made everyone feel at ease for wearing their favourite jeans to work. The 18th March was a beautiful spring day and the sun was beaming down at Head Office and it was an ideal flying opportunity, therefore Nigel who provides our IT support couldn't resist bringing his helicopter to work - however he donated rides in his helicopter with all proceeds going to RND 2011. A great addition to the company's other activities; the lunchtime quiz, guess how many sweets in the jar competition and the raffle to win the afternoon off which was kindly donated by the Directors.

The fundraising day was concluded with Kate and Stuart from the marketing department serving afternoon tea with homemade cakes made by our very own first class baker, Kate. Everything was truly delicious and a great end to our fundraising day at Agenda.

Managing Director, Paul commented on the day's events "the team did an amazing job in their fundraising activities and as always they didn't disappoint. Everyone at Agenda always enjoy supporting Red Nose Day and I enjoyed dressing down for a change too - especially for a great cause"
